DIRECT HIRE:
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Survey Party Chief to join a dynamic team for all types of land surveying work on projects throughout the greater upstate of South Carolina. The successful candidate must be a responsible, motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and work ethic. As the Survey Party Chief, you will be responsible for planning, research and calculations for boundary surveys, and calculations for construction staking; to perform field survey work for boundary, topographic, elevation certificates and construction surveys.
Salary Range: $30hr – $40hr OT Base hours/schedule: 7am – 4pm, some weekends Benefits: Health Insurance, 401K, 401K Matching, Paid holidays, Vacation, Bi-annual bonuses
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Party Chief is Preferred
Must have experience in performing Topographic Surveys, Construction Staking Layout, & Boundary Surveys
Must be experienced and proficient with Robotic Total Stations, GPS, & Data Collectors (Trimble Equipment Preferred but not required)
Experienced in reading and understanding survey maps and plans
Experienced in recovery of boundary evidence in the field
Ability to collect as-built and topographic data
Ability to review and understand construction drawings, make calculations and to perform construction layout
Able to understand and interpret legal descriptions and record survey maps
Proficient in understanding and interpreting engineering construction plans, diagrams, and notes
Able to plan and organize the work of the field survey crew to achieve optimum efficiency
Able to work effectively in a team environment and to supervise field survey personnel
Have solid understanding of project budget requirements, time management skills, and client relations
Strong written and oral communication skills
Must be organized, able to multi-task & prioritize while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Must be able to perform outdoor physical activities, clearing line with brush axe, working in extreme outdoor conditions at times, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying equipment up steep inclines, walking around construction sites & undeveloped land
Must possess a valid driver’s license
