Conejo Services is seeking an experienced Insulation Installer to join our team. The role focuses on installing, removing, and sealing insulation materials in residential and commercial buildings while strictly adhering to safety guidelines and building codes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
Read blueprints and select appropriate insulation based on space characteristics and thermal performance.
Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces using tape measures, hand saws, power saws, knives, or scissors.
Cover and line structures with blown or rolled forms of insulation, using saws, knives, rasps, trowels, blowers, and other tools.
Fit, wrap, staple, or glue insulating materials to structures or surfaces using hand tools or wires.
Covers, seals, or finishes insulated surfaces or access holes with plastic covers, canvas strips, sealants, tape, cement, or asphalt mastic.
Distribute insulating materials evenly into small spaces within floors, ceilings, or walls using blowers with hose attachments, or cement mortars.
Fill blower hoppers with insulating materials.
Move controls, buttons, or levers to start blowers and regulate flow of materials through nozzles.
Prepare surfaces for insulation application by brushing or spreading adhesives, cement, or asphalt or by attaching metal pins to surfaces.
Remove old insulation such as asbestos following safety procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
Previous experience in insulation installation or construction is preferred.
Strong knowledge of various insulation materials, installation techniques, and relevant building codes.
Proficiency in using a range of tools, including tape measures, knives, saws, staple guns, and blowers.
Basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret blueprints or construction plans.
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to different job sites.
