The Groden Network, known as “Your Autism Experts,” is a non‑profit organization based in Rhode Island that provides a range of services to children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities. Serving over 800 families with more than 600 employees, the organization offers educational, treatment, and residential programs. Its core programs include The Groden Center, which specializes in early intervention and education for children; The Cove Center, which supports adults in Rhode Island with instructional vocational and residential programs; and The Halcyon Center, which provides similar services in Massachusetts. Role Description

Salary: $52,000 Annually

$5,000 Sign on Bonus

We are excited to announce the opening of our preschool and kindergarten classroom in Providence, where we provide a nurturing and innovative environment for young children with disabilities. This RIDE‑approved classroom, already established and welcoming students, is designed with a maximum capacity of six children to ensure focused, personalized, and individualized learning experiences.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide specialized instruction and support to students and lead a team supported by an exceptional 2:3 staff‑to‑student ratio. You will coordinate student programs including planning goals, designing instructional programs, scheduling and monitoring programs; complete/monitor completion of documents for staff and students; effectively arrange the physical environment to foster maximum learning.

Our staff members hold Bachelor's‑level training in behavior management and the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). You will also benefit from onsite collaboration with a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Occupational Therapist (OT), and Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP), ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to student success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.

RI Department of Education certification in Severe/Profound Special Education.

Must have a valid driver's license and insured auto.

One year experience as a Special Education Teacher (preferred).

Strong communication skills, effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and other professionals.

Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for students with special needs.
