is seeking a
pediatric otolaryngology surgeon
with
fellowship training in advanced otology or neurotology , extensive experience in
pediatric otology , or a
strong interest in pediatric otology
to join our dynamic team. We are committed to providing

About the Role The selected candidate will have an
active clinical and surgical practice , as well as opportunities to teach
otolaryngology residents and fellows . Additionally, they will play a key role in the
Comprehensive Otology and Hearing Program , with clinical opportunities that include:
Hearing loss and implantable devices, including
cochlear implantation
Chronic ear disease,
cholesteatoma , and
endoscopic ear surgery
Balance disorders and
lateral skull base surgery
Future Plans
Development of an advanced pediatric otology fellowship
Establishment of a state-of-the-art Temporal Bone and Lateral Skull Base Dissection Laboratory
at the
Children’s Mercy Research Institute (CMRI)
to support clinical advancements, educational training, and research initiatives
Opportunities for a mentored otology experience
for interested candidates
Academic & Research Opportunities Candidates with research interests will receive strong institutional support from

genomic medicine, precision therapeutics, population health, and healthcare innovation . The division prioritizes research collaboration and mentorship for faculty interested in advancing pediatric otolaryngology care. appointments are available through the

Division of Otolaryngology , part of the
Department of Surgery , is a nationally recognized leader in pediatric ENT care, education, and research. Our team includes:
7 full-time pediatric otolaryngology surgeons
13 advanced practice providers
21 pediatric audiologists
Each year, we provide care for approximately
20,000 clinical visits
and perform over
5,000 surgical cases . The division hosts a
Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship
and provides training for
rotating otolaryngology residents
from the
University of Kansas (PGY 1-5) . Children’s Mercy is also a
verified Level I Pediatric Trauma Program and Level I Children’s Surgery Program , accredited by the
American College of Surgeons .
