Accounting and Finance Recruiter @ INSPYR Solutions Accounting Manager This role will oversee core accounting operations, manage the monthly close, support financial reporting and audits, and partner closely with senior leadership on technical accounting matters and process improvements. What You’ll Do Lead and manage the monthly close process, including review of journal entries and reconciliations Oversee internal and external financial reporting, including management reporting and financial statements Manage and develop a team made up of Senior and Staff Accountants, setting goals and supporting professional growth Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements Maintain strong internal controls and ensure integrity of financial data Perform technical accounting research and support adoption of new accounting standards Support budgeting and forecasting activities Play a key role in process improvements, close optimization, and documentation of accounting policies Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Treasury, IT, and senior accounting leadership Support interim and annual audits Participate in acquisition due diligence and purchase accounting Assist with special projects and other initiatives as needed What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting CPA strongly preferred Minimum of 6+ years of accounting experience with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge At least 1–2 years of people management experience Public accounting background is a plus Strong Excel skills; SAP experience preferred Proven ability to lead teams, meet deadlines, and operate in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and attention to detail Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing Industries Utilities Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at INSPYR Solutions by 2x Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Get notified about new Accounting Manager jobs in Houston, TX . #J-18808-Ljbffr
