The Trackhoe Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a trackhoe (hydraulic excavator) to perform excavation, trenching, grading, and material handling on construction projects. This role requires precision control, an understanding of excavation techniques, and the ability to work closely with other crew members to ensure projects are completed to specification, on schedule, and in compliance with safety standards. Key Duties & Responsibilities
Operate a trackhoe to dig, trench, grade, and move earth, rock, or other materials. Load trucks, place pipe, backfill trenches, and assist with utility installation. Read and follow grade stakes, project plans, and instructions from supervisors. Perform daily pre-operational and post-operational equipment inspections. Conduct routine maintenance such as greasing, checking fluid levels, and cleaning the machine. Monitor job site conditions and adjust operations to maintain safety and efficiency. Coordinate with ground crews and other operators to ensure smooth workflow. Maintain awareness of surroundings, especially near personnel, traffic, and other machinery. Follow all company safety protocols, DOT/OSHA regulations, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Additional Duties
Assist with general labor or other duties when trackhoe operation is not required. Requirements
Must live within 200 miles of Greer, SC (zip 36525). Have a valid CDL (Class A or B). Entry‑level experience is acceptable. Employment Information
