Diet Clerk - Per Diem
Pay Range $18.31 - $25.63 per hour
Position Highlights
Position: Diet Clerk
Location: Elmhurst Hospital – Elmhurst, IL
Employment type: Per Diem – As Needed
Schedule: Monday‑Friday 5:00 AM – 7:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
Operate the room service call center, answering patient calls for meal orders and entering orders into the CBORD system for transmission to the room service line.
Be familiar with all menu offerings, diet variations, and specific orders for patients based on their prescribed diet.
Qualifications
State of Illinois Food Handler Training Certificate Program (ANSI Accredited) required within 30 days of start.
Preferred: High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of healthcare food service experience.
