Join our team as an Optical Sales Associate Float at Shopko Optical. This full‑time position is located in Hudson, WI and River Falls, WI, where you will provide exceptional customer service and patient care while supporting the optical center’s operations.
Position Summary On‑the‑job training is provided. No prior experience is required. Your role will involve selecting, ordering, and dispensing eyewear; preparing optical lab work orders; processing medical billing; maintaining frame inventory; and assisting patients with contact lens care and frame adjustments.

Responsibilities
Deliver excellent customer and patient service according to company and optical center standards.
Analyze patient eyewear needs and recommend appropriate lenses, coatings, and frames.
Assist patients in selecting frames, ensuring proper fit and coordination with prescriptions.
Order, dispense, and accurately adjust eyewear on the sales floor.
Assist patients with contact lens insertion, removal, and care instructions.
Provide necessary information for optometrist case histories and screenings.
Maintain a complete knowledge of third‑party insurance plans and claims.
Explain promotions and special lens offerings to patients and customers.
Balance accounts and prepare work orders for the optical lab.
Process medical billing information and manage frame inventory merchandising.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Maintain a valid state license as required.
Complete Shopko OCE Certification requirements and calendar modules.
Previous experience in an office and/or optical dispensing is preferred.
Ability to handle multiple customer interactions and phone calls simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Capacity to read and write at a high‑school graduate level.
Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift 10–20 lbs.
Manual dexterity, hand‑arm steadiness, and good eye‑hand coordination.
Ability to operate office equipment, cash register, and optical tools.
Willingness to work normal and/or extended hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Travel independently as required to support company objectives.
