As the Lead Chef at The Oncenter, you will undertake complex culinary tasks and assist the Executive and Sous Chefs with all aspects of food preparation. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Work directly with the Executive Chef and assist Sous Chefs on concerns. Prepare, process, and portion all foods as specified for Chefs. Handle primary assignments including hot foods, soups, sauces, meats, and presentation. Read and follow recipes, adjusting as necessary. Follow production sheets accurately and monitor results. Adhere to facility and Chief safe‑food handling guidelines. Taste and evaluate food before serving to ensure quality standards. Operate all kitchen equipment safely and correctly. Use the “clean as you go” method. Clean and sanitize all food service equipment and work area. Work with management to conduct inventory regularly. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area following sanitation standards. Maintain a professional appearance and professional relationships with coworkers at all times. Provide total guest satisfaction through skilled service in compliance with New York State laws, regulations, and company policies. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED. Culinary Degree and/or directly related experience preferred. Three‑year satisfactory cooking experience required. ServSafe & TIPS certification preferred. Skills And Abilities
Lead team members in culinary tasks. Work effectively in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Work independently and as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude and professional appearance. Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette. Make professional, independent, and sound judgment decisions within policy and procedures. Adapt to changes and work under pressure to produce accurate results in a fast‑paced environment. Work long and irregular hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Demands
Walk, stand for long periods. Work in a noisy, fast‑paced environment. Move around the venue at times walking or standing for 8–10 hours or more, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 + lbs, and frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting. NOTE
