About the Role:
As a Sales Advisor, you’ll be responsible for providing excellent customer service, welcoming and guiding customers through your store, actively selling our products, and offering support and guidance. Your fashion and product knowledge will help customers make the best choice. You’ll also manage garment care, presentation, and maintain a clean sales floor and back‑of‑house, working closely with your store team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
A Day in the Life Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same. A typical day will include the following responsibilities.
Customer Sales & Profit
Provide excellent customer service: welcome and guide customers through the store and OMNI experience where available.
Engage and converse with customers to provide superior service.
Guide customers through our fashion trends, stories & products in all areas of the store.
Effectively promote and sell our products.
Actively promote our Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in‑store sustainability initiatives.
Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during all customer interactions.
Support commercial or operational actions to reach sales targets with store management.
General Information Fashion & Trend Awareness
Stay up‑to‑date with fashion trends, styles, brands, competitors, and relevant influencers.
Use your product and fashion knowledge to share relevant information with customers.
Team & Development
Retain and share your service, fashion and store operations knowledge with colleagues.
Follow all procedures, routines and legal requirements in all store areas.
Give and receive feedback with colleagues to learn, develop and support each other.
Participate in onboarding, introductions, training and courses relevant for your role and future development.
Retail Operations / Visual & Commercial Execution
Complete the full garment cycle: unpacking, refill, steaming and garment care.
Operate fitting room and checkout areas according to best practice.
Contribute to a clean and tidy sales floor and back‑of‑house.
Support garment presentation, execution and maintain attractive displays following visual & commercial guidelines.
Ensure good stock levels with replenishment routines on the sales floor.
Maintain best practice for in‑store OMNI services and tech tools (Instore Care App, Click & Collect, Smart Store, etc.).
Support opening and closing of the store.
Follow all H&S guidelines and legal requirements applicable to your role and responsibilities.
