The Community Forensic Services (CFS) team provides clinical services in collaboration with state and community agencies operating community re‑entry programs in New Haven for clients with serious mental illness and/or co‑occurring disorders currently or formerly involved with the criminal justice system. In addition, the CFS team also provides supervision and clinical services to all New Haven Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB) clients as well as the facilitation of groups within the Department of Corrections Facilities via the Connecticut Offender Re‑Entry Program (CORP). This position supervises two (2) CORP clinicians. This position may assume leadership duties for the CFS team in the director’s absence. This position travels to Dept of Corrections prisons and jails and conducts interviews with offenders returning to the New Haven area upon release. About Us:

CMHC is an urban community mental health center with an exceptional 50‑year tradition of serving individuals with serious mental illness. Founded in 1966, the CMHC cares for more than 5,000 people a year in a variety of services. CMHC treats individuals suffering from severe and persistent psychosis, depression, anxiety, addictions (including alcoholism, cocaine, and gambling) and those with co‑existing mental health and addiction problems. A comprehensive medical examination, including a drug screening, will be required of all applicants upon a conditional offer of employment. All state employees must adhere to Connecticut’s Policy for a Drug Free Workplace. Qualifications & Requirements One (1) year of experience as a licensed clinical social worker.
