Benefits Pay: $38,127.70 annually, paid bi‑weekly. Overtime eligible.
Retirement package, deferred compensation plan, health, vision, dental, disability and other supplemental insurance at reasonable rates.
Paid vacation and sick leave, nine (9) paid holidays and a personal day.
Tuition waiver (up to 6 credits per semester) for State Universities and Community Colleges.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid Florida driver's license.
Successful completion of a Level II background screening, including fingerprinting and drug testing.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a long‑term care or hospital environment.
At least one (1) year of experience in maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
Experience with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical equipment.
Position Description
Work under the supervision of the Utilities and Maintenance Superintendent. Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment runs smoothly and building systems operate efficiently. Use tools, equipment, test and diagnostic devices as required. Assist in maintaining a focus on safety and accident prevention.
Maintain, alter, troubleshoot or repair electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, plumbing systems, and equipment including closed‑loop heating and cooling systems, food service equipment, and laundry equipment.
Install, maintain, or repair electric motors, motor starters, control circuits, pumps, valves, lavatories, water closets, sewer lines, potable water lines, and other sanitary fixtures.
Perform construction‑related duties such as cement and carpentry work, light welding, and repair/replacement of floor coverings.
Inspect and maintain records on equipment such as chillers, boilers, refrigeration, and fire protection equipment.
Assist in investigations and repairs of equipment failures and safety hazards when possible.
Be available to respond to disasters such as hurricanes when requested by management.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
