Material Handler Driver Company: Acme Construction Supply

Hourly Rate:

$18 - $20 per hour + monthly incentive bonus after 90 days of employment Shift:

Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Summary The Material Handler/Delivery Driver is primarily responsible for fulfilling orders, organizing and maintaining inventory, unloading delivery trucks, and making safe, friendly and timely deliveries to customers.

Responsibilities Material Handler Duties

Locate material and pull orders using established RF/warehouse procedures to fulfill orders.

Unload product (using both a forklift and hand loading) and put away product accurately to designated warehouse areas.

Check in any incoming product using established RF/warehouse procedures for receiving, ensuring deliveries match the company purchase order.

Meet or exceed established goals for order pulling accuracy and inventory accuracy.

Perform labeling and wrapping of products to prepare for staging.

Prep and assemble products as needed for custom non‑stock orders.

Operate equipment such as a forklift.

Maintain an orderly and clean warehouse, complying with all safety procedures.

Continue RF training or operations training as assigned by the company.

Delivery Driver Duties

Operate the company vehicle safely and courteously while following traffic laws.

Verify daily vehicle preventive maintenance and report any issues to the Warehouse Manager.

Ensure the interior of the truck is kept clean, organized and safely maintained.

Comply with all DOT requirements and company safety policies.

Pre‑plan deliveries and routes for maximum efficiency and timing.

Manifest jobs in delivery order to ensure prompt customer notifications.

Compare paperwork with product on truck to confirm order accuracy.

Inspect and secure all loads on the truck.

Load product (using forklift and hand loading) onto trucks, including boxes, ladders, struts, etc.

Unload and deliver products/orders to specified job sites as part of a multi‑stop route.

Take pictures of deliveries using the Innovo phone app.

Report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager promptly.

Pick up returned product (as needed) and deliver it to the appropriate department.

Qualifications - Skills: Technical Qualifications/Experience

Minimum of one year experience in a similar position (preferred).

Experience with RF devices (plus).

Experience with forklifts and forklift certification.

Clean driving record and the ability to drive various vehicles, from a small pickup to a 2‑ton flatbed diesel truck.

Must be 21 years of age to meet auto insurance requirements.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong organizational skills and accurate record‑keeping.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Professional interaction with employees, customers and vendors.

Understanding of safe warehouse practices.

Self‑disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks with urgency.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to sit, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach, talk, and hear.

May need to move or traverse considerable distances in the facility during the workday.

Must have the physical ability to perform essential warehouse tasks.

Lift up to 50 lbs. to a height of 3‑4 feet and load product into trucks.

Remain in a stationary position for extended periods.

Ascend/descend a ladder to pull or put away product from shelving.

Operate a dolly, pallet jack and/or forklift safely.

Working Conditions

All‑weather driving.
