Job Summary Perform and maintain daily activities on a production line including housekeeping, safety, quality, and production efficiencies. Requires flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends and varying shifts. Offers 8‑ and 12‑hour shifts with next‑day start options.
Responsibilities
Embrace a culture of safety.
Manage a plastic extrusion line to ensure finished goods meet quality specifications that meet customer needs.
Utilize standard operating procedures to ensure the production line runs with specifications.
Lead line tooling changes, start‑ups, and shutdowns.
Maintain a safe work environment through proper PPE and housekeeping compliance.
Accurately complete shift production and reporting paperwork.
Conduct regular product sampling to ensure consistent quality.
Assist with the Preventative Maintenance program.
Meet or exceed standard production efficiencies.
Maintain and increase ability to operate various production lines through certifications.
Troubleshoot process and mechanical problems and perform repairs and adjustments.
Perform tooling changeovers safely and efficiently.
Practice continuous improvement on the line and facility housekeeping.
Job Skills
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
Basic computer skills.
Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to operate heavy machinery, e.g., forklifts, safely.
Reading and writing skills.
Self‑motivated.
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience
Previous manufacturing machine operation or extrusion experience.
Physical Requirements
Perform physical labor for extended periods in fluctuating temperatures.
Full range of body motion (twisting, bending, reaching, squatting).
Stand and be mobile throughout a 12‑hour shift.
Use hands, arms, and legs to handle and transport finished goods.
