Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Toledo, OH, for a Shipping and Receiving Specialist. The role involves handling shipments, packing and unpacking goods, maintaining accurate inventory, and operating equipment such as forklifts. Daily responsibilities include receiving and inspecting deliveries, organizing inventory, preparing and packaging products for shipment, and ensuring compliance with shipping and safety protocols. The individual will also coordinate with internal teams to maintain efficient supply‑chain operations.
Responsibilities & Duties
Prepare and process domestic and international shipments, including LTL freight
Generate and maintain required shipping and customs documentation (commercial invoices, Carnet, USMCA/CUSMA, bills of lading)
Operate UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and DHL systems
Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and inspection/approval requirements
Package products and tooling securely, including building custom crates and using power hand tools
Maintain accurate inventory, shipping, and receiving records
Communicate with carriers and internal departments to ensure timely material flow
Follow OSHA safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience in shipping and receiving, warehousing, or logistics roles.
Proficiency with domestic and international shipping processes, including exports and customs documentation
Experience with packing, unloading shipments, and inventory control
Familiarity with LTL fright coordination
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Excel
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and moving heavy objects
