Coil Winder (Machine Operator) - 3rd Shift
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Coil Winder (Machine Operator) for the 3rd shift. This role offers a 32.5‑hour work week with a $3/hour shift premium. Hours are 10:00 pm–5:00 am, Mon–Sat, with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break. Salary:
$27.04 per hour
(guideline; actual rate may vary based on skills and experience). Full benefits, 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays are offered from day one.
What You’ll Do This position will be responsible for winding transformer coils used in electrical equipment and instruments, following wiring diagrams, sample coils, or work orders. The operator reviews diagrams, determines wire specifications, and performs coil winding, welding, brazing, and quality inspections.
In This Function You Will
Wind standard coils for dry‑type transformers.
Perform welding and/or brazing to join bus bars to foil.
Utilize hook‑up/hot work assembly tools to meet production demands.
Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to production quality standards.
Maintain at least 80% of productivity time standards.
Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and presentable.
Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations.
Qualifications
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
Only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of the work location (or active‑duty military service members) will be considered.
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Six or more months of soldering/brazing/welding experience, or a completed welding certificate from an accredited institution.
Machine operation experience.
Skills
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Ability to use and accurately read a tape measure.
Repetitive use of mallet to shape coils required.
Ability to weld and braze.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment as required.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting are inherent to this position.
Pushing and pulling required during the manufacturing process.
