Domestic Violence Advocate
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany is seeking a Domestic Violence Advocate to join our team in the Catholic Charities of Saratoga, Warren, & Washington Counties.
As the Domestic Violence Family Court Advocate, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
Conduct thorough client intakes, including needs assessments, safety planning, and development of individualized support plans.
Advocate on behalf of clients with attorneys, law guardians, CPS, probation officers, and other court‑affiliated professionals to ensure their needs and concerns are considered.
Connect clients with relevant community resources and human services, including mental health providers, housing supports, parenting programs, and financial assistance.
Work with the Program Director to coordinate training sessions, partner planning meetings, and outreach events that raise awareness and build capacity across community systems.
Submit required reports and data in a timely manner and assist with program evaluations and outcome tracking.
Salary: Minimum $20.00 / Hour; Maximum $20.00 / Hour.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (35 hours per week); Must have availability for on‑call shifts.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
1 to 3 years experience
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Preferred: Associate’s Degree or Bachelors Degree in Human Services.
