Base pay range $90,000.00/yr – $100,000.00/yr

Job Details The Director will oversee the Head Start/Early Head Start program in accordance with federal and state guidelines, ensuring compliance, strategic planning, and community partnership. Responsibilities include managing the program budget, leading a diverse team, coordinating service delivery, evaluating effectiveness, and advocating for the program to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Implement and operate the program in compliance with federal regulations.

Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with program goals.

Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations.

Manage program budget, forecasting, reporting, and auditing.

Build relationships with government agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders.

Lead and develop a team of professionals, fostering continuous learning.

Coordinate staff to deliver high‑quality services to children and families.

Assess program effectiveness and implement improvements.

Advocate for the program and its participants within the community and among policymakers.

Maintain community presence through communication and outreach efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Public Administration, Psychology, or related field; Master’s preferred.

Minimum of five years in a leadership role within early childhood education.

In‑depth knowledge of Head Start and Early Head Start federal regulations.

Experience in community‑based planning and working with government agencies.

Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.

Strategic planning and problem‑solving abilities.

Commitment to the mission of Head Start and Early Head Start programs.

Ability to pass a background check and obtain child‑welfare clearance.
