Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented **Production Artist** to join our client’s dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in flawlessly executing the redesign of a significant product line’s packaging and labeling. Your expertise will directly contribute to enhancing the visual appeal and accuracy of products that reach millions, ensuring a consistent and high-quality brand experience. What You’ll Do
- Accurately and flawlessly develop final mechanicals for packaging and labeling redesign projects.
- Collaborate with an Associate Manager to understand and implement established file building standards and expectations.
- Work closely with a Marketing Coordinator to manage artwork versions, codes, descriptions, and ensure timely edits and updates during proofing rounds.
- Partner with a Manager to troubleshoot any packaging and labeling challenges.
- Organize and prioritize multiple projects efficiently, maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
- Identify potential production concerns and proactively offer solutions that support the creative vision.
- Contribute to a cooperative team environment, fostering high performance and goal attainment.
Must-Have Qualifications
- **Experience:** Proven experience building packaging and labeling mechanicals.
- **Technical Proficiency:** Expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.
- **Software Skills:** Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and cloud-based file sharing platforms.
- **Attention to Detail:** Uncompromising attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest degree of quality.
- **Communication:** Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- **Organizational Skills:** Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
- **Problem-Solving:** Demonstrated proactive problem-solving skills.
- **Design Acumen:** Strong design sensibility.
- **Packaging Knowledge:** Ability to work with die lines and familiarity with packaging systems.
- **Industry Knowledge:** Knowledge of packaging design, pre-press, and printing processes, including packaging and labeling substrates, printing/finishing techniques, and structural development.
- **Adaptability:** Ability to react positively to change.
- **Self-Development:** Comfortable soliciting feedback and managing self-development.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- **Education:** A 4-year bachelor’s degree in design is preferred.
