TPM III - LaunchOps/Special Projects, Amazon Leo. Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Responsibilities
- The TPM III for Launch Operations/Special Projects will act as the focal for special projects related to space hardware and launch processing. They will be responsible for inputs and outputs to Launch Operations for internal and externally facing initiatives.
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure successful space hardware processing for unique, challenging and highly ambiguous projects involving space hardware, launch vehicles, satellite dispensers and payload processing.
- Provide technical leadership across projects, including testing requirements, assembly/integration work cell design or modifications within payload processing facilities, facility and equipment planning, integration and test application implementation and improvement, process control, design for manufacturability, project management, and tooling design.
- Collaborate with Launch Operations/Mission Management to own Launch Provider relationships, Dispenser provider relationships, and Payload Processing Facility leadership. Reach back to engineering teams and act as the Launch Operations liaison for externally facing vendor relationships as needed.
- Lead collaboration with other departments in highly technical settings to reach optimal solutions, and technically challenge assumptions and requirements from related domains (e.g., dynamics and thermal analysis, design engineering, tooling engineering).
- Leverage extensive experience in space hardware integration and test, with focus on satellite to dispenser and/or launch vehicle integration.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
