Position Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing the workflow of their team(s) by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to the Purchasing Manager. The role involves improving department efficiency by reviewing processes, setting team targets, and ensuring high levels of inventory accuracy. The Warehouse Supervisor also contributes to safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance, while fostering continuous improvement and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and support warehouse Team Leads & Associates in daily tasks, ensuring proper prioritization of workload.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and safety, addressing hazards and ensuring accessibility for employees and visitors.
  • Oversee training and development for warehouse associates in material handling, system transactions, and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate communication and activities between warehouse and production teams.
  • Accurately stock and transact materials in proper locations, ensuring accuracy in order processing and inventory records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Logistics, to drive process improvements and ensure timely, safe, and quality material movement.
  • Monitor and document incoming and outgoing materials, including purchase orders, part numbers, and project details.
  • Enforce safe work practices and ensure compliance with HSE programs, working with the EHS Manager on safety training.
  • Address employee performance issues and approve timecards in accordance with company policies.
  • Foster a positive work environment, supporting company values and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

Skills

  • Proven leadership experience with a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to oversee multiple teams effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, quality management, and safe work practices.
  • Understanding of production and work order processes, along with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours and travel (up to 20%).
  • Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. regularly and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, crouching, and reaching.
