The Warehouse Supervisor at UG2 oversees the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory control. This leadership role manages a team of warehouse personnel and coordinates closely with UG2 field teams to ensure seamless material and equipment flow to support facilities operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and schedule shipping and receiving associates and other warehouse staff.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment across UG2-managed facilities.
- Ensure proper inventory controls are in place and followed, including cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Implement and enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Coordinate logistics with suppliers, delivery vendors, and internal departments to support operational timelines.
- Identify and resolve issues with shipments, inventory discrepancies, or order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate warehouse documentation, reports, and records.
- Monitor equipment maintenance and recommend repairs or replacements.
- Support budget management by minimizing loss, damage, and inefficient processes.
- Criticality of storage of temperature sensitive materials and/or chemicals received; therefore experience in a Life Sciences environment is a must.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred. Life science experience required.
- 3+ years of warehouse or logistics experience, including 1+ years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and safety regulations.
- Effective leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Forklift certification required; experience operating warehouse machinery and tools.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
