The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization serving nearly 30,000 people across rural southwest Alaska. Bethel, the regional hub, is home to the only hospital in the region. The Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers—the Kuskokwim and Yukon.
Position Summary
To coordinate the Dental Assistant staff, ensuring an efficiently operating Dental Department. To act and function as a Dental Assistant role model.
Position Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some supervisory or instructing experience preferred. Has completed YK Dental Assistant Career Ladder or equivalent experience.
- Certified Dental Assistant, or two years of clinical dental assisting experience.
- Current dental radiology certificate.
- Current BLS and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of dental equipment and instruments.
- Dental anatomy, basic dental instrumentarium, and basic dental assisting skills.
- Supervise dental assistants and other supervisory duties as assigned.
