Administrative Assistant II–Sr – Entergy

Job Summary & Purpose

This position coordinates all administrative functions, providing multifaceted support to department management and staff. Responsibilities typically include scheduling appointments, coordinating incoming mail, maintaining the calendar, making travel arrangements, arranging meetings, running and tracking projects and programs associated with senior management administrative support, producing reports and presentations using appropriate software, preparing and updating reports and records, and participating in special projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to staff and managers.
  • Manage calendars, schedule events, travel arrangements, departmental meetings, and arrange conference calls.
  • Handle correspondence and routine documents, including preparing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, interoffice correspondence, and copies.
  • Manage administrative affairs of the department, including invoice processing, supply equipment procurement, and training records.
  • Handle multiple assignments, work within deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of departmental issues.
  • Proactively forward work issues to appropriate managers/supervisors.
  • Process expense reports and input employees' worked hours into the system.
  • Coordinate with executive and senior administrative staff to handle requests and queries from supervisors and managers.
  • Perform additional duties or assignments requested by senior management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience. A four‑year degree is not required.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of relevant work experience for Asst‑Administrative II, 4–6 years for Asst‑Administrative III, and 6+ years for Asst‑Administrative Sr.
  • Certification: Completion of the EEI SASS test is required.
