Description

The Athletics Department at Georgia State University is seeking to hire an Assistant Strength Coach. This position will assist the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with all areas of training including weight programs, specific physical conditioning programs for student‑athletes, and maintaining equipment and weight rooms.

What Will You Do

  • Assist in education and prevention of athletics injuries through daily communication with Head Strength Coach, Athletic Trainers, and Sport Coaches.
  • Instruct and supervise all assigned sports in strength and conditioning activities; assist in preparation and planning workout programs.
  • Maintain equipment inventory and travel to Panthersville for off‑site training.
  • Maintenance of all weight training machines and other devices used for strength training and conditioning activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by Head Strength Coach.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Requirements

  • Must obtain CSCCA Certification within the first year of employment.
