Job Overview

As a Lead Data Analyst on our team, you will design, develop, and deliver actionable insights and solutions by applying statistical concepts and analytic techniques such as root cause, exploratory, sensitivity, scenario analysis, hypothesis testing, economic modeling, and regression. You will combine data from multiple sources to develop innovative approaches that address business problems and influence strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify opportunities with medium to broad impact where analytics can inform the business.
• Consult with business owners to understand the problem and lead others through analytic approach.
• Merge, cleanse, and transform complex data from multiple sources.
• Apply advanced statistical concepts and validate logic against known sources.
• Lead the team to generate and incorporate insights into a cohesive story that influences decision making.
• Act as a data subject matter expert across a wide range of areas and educate senior leaders on analytical concepts.
• Document, monitor, and recommend improvements to related processes and controls.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in finance, business, economics, data science, math, or analytics preferred.
• 7+ years of related analytical work experience.
• 7+ years experience interacting with various database and file storage systems (DB2, IDMS, Oracle, Hadoop, NoSQL).
• 7+ years experience with data manipulation languages such as SQL, Impala, PL/SQL, Hive, Pig, XML.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical concepts and analytic techniques, including forecasting, economic modeling, regression techniques, and machine learning.
• Proficient with visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBi, or MicroStrategy.
• Strong analytical, critical and systems thinking required.

What Could Set You Apart

• Experience with statistical tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, or Python.
