Seasonal Business Tax Expert • Intuit
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with business tax preparation experience, excellent communication skills and an active, unrestricted credential (CPA/EA/Practicing Attorney) to help our customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax Business products. This role supports the goal of Powering Prosperity Around the World by providing expert guidance, tax preparation, and explanations of tax and technical terms to customers. The successful candidate will manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations, using a strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws.
What will you do
- Help customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products, applying professional judgment in a timely manner.
- Provide tax advice, full service return preparation, and tax calculations.
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to provide accurate answers to customers in everyday language.
- Interact with customers in a virtual, customer‑facing role, using Intuit’s video communication software and maintaining accurate records of interactions.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and promote Intuit’s operating values, including integrity without compromise.
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential, and proprietary business information responsibly.
What you need
- Strong business tax preparation experience with 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065/1120‑S) for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax preparation software.
- Active unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney.
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per year.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience that includes books‑to‑tax preparation is preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service‑industry customers is preferred.
- Ability to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Commitment to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours per week in 4‑hour shift increments during the tax season.
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Strong technology proficiency and solid computer operations knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with customers via video and audio tools professionally and confidently.
- Critical thinking, problem‑solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Reliable internet connection meeting Intuit security criteria.
