On Lok PACE is a non‑profit committed to the care of elders, providing in‑home care services and transportation to a community center for primary medical care, social and recreational activities, and other senior care services. The program is designed to keep frail seniors in their communities whenever possible.

Position Summary: This role reports to the Program/Center Manager and Center Support Supervisor (or possibly the Reception Supervisor). The Receptionist performs a variety of clerical functions pivotal to the efficient management of the center, including managing incoming calls, greeting and checking in visitors, and providing administrative support while maintaining clear communication with the interdisciplinary team and center staff.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and screen all visitors and direct them appropriately; ensure participants are seen by appropriate staff and directed to the correct program; ensure visitors sign in/out of logbook or system and display ID name tags.
  • Answer and screen all main phone line calls; engage language line (interpreter services) as needed; provide accurate program and services information; monitor and respond to voicemail.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of established policies, procedures, quality assurance program, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Champion Healthcare Hospitality through On Lok practice of G.R.E.A.T. for 5‑Star service.
  • Provide program and service information to participants and advocate for timely attention.
  • Communicate regularly with Program Manager or Center Support Supervisor to give feedback on center functioning, report inefficiencies, and propose workflow improvements.
  • Organize mail and packages; distribute to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist center staff and IDT members with administrative tasks (e.g., kitchen labeling, paperwork, transportation scheduling).
  • Secure entry and/or fire exit upon closing; share responsibility for building entrances/exits security.
  • Support troubleshooting for on‑call administrators and Medical Doctors (MDs).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years in a customer‑facing administrative role (e.g., reception).
  • Minimum one year experience working with frail or elderly individuals.
  • Experience and enthusiasm for working with a diverse population.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional, warm communication.
  • Thrives in a busy environment with interruptions.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize and follow up.
  • Bilingual may be required (Spanish/English, Mandarin/English, Cantonese/English).
  • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office, scheduling systems, and office technology.
  • Familiarity with office equipment and moderate troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with dementia population preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health records preferred.
  • Experience working within an interdisciplinary team preferred.

Your compensation will be based on skills, experience, education, and certifications. The pay range is expressed as an hourly rate for non‑exempt positions.
