The AIS Infrastructure Group consists of four heavy civil construction companies. Our services include infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, and site development for government and state agencies and private enterprise across the United States. We do a wide variety of heavy civil projects, including highways, bridges, and DOT work, power plants, dams and reservoirs, underground utilities, and more.

General Position Summary

The Lubrication Technician is responsible for performing lubrication maintenance tasks on construction and industrial equipment. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of construction and industrial services projects.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine lubrication tasks on construction and industrial equipment, including greasing, oil changes, and fluid level checks.
  • Inspect and assess equipment for signs of wear, leaks, or other maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of lubrication activities, including quantities used and equipment serviced.
  • Follow established maintenance schedules and prioritize work based on equipment needs and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team members to ensure timely completion of lubrication tasks.

Required Job Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, lubrication techniques, and best practices.
  • Must have Class A CDL and Hazmat certification or ability to obtain them.
  • Familiarity with different types of lubricants, their applications, and appropriate usage.
  • Ability to interpret equipment manuals and specifications to determine lubrication requirements.
  • Basic understanding of construction and industrial equipment and their lubrication points.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Education, Knowledge & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must have Class A CDL and Hazmat certification or ability to obtain them (company will pay for training).
  • Relevant certifications or licenses, such as a lubrication technician certification, are preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in performing lubrication maintenance on construction or industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of equipment lubrication requirements and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with relevant lubrication tools and equipment.
  • OSHA 10 or 30‑hour construction training.

Working Environment & Conditions

  • Work takes place primarily on construction sites or in industrial facilities.
  • Potential hazards include working at heights, exposure to noise, moving machinery, and potentially hazardous substances.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting heavy equipment.
  • Work schedule may vary based on project needs, including weekends and overtime.
  • Travel to project sites may be required.

  • Proficiency in using lubrication tools and equipment.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and report maintenance needs.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify lubrication issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate and thorough lubrication activities.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
  • Customer service skills to interact with clients or project stakeholders.

The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods, and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee must have good manual dexterity, multi‑limbed coordination, and excellent stamina.

Travel

  • As needed to different project sites in the state of Georgia.
