JOB DETAILS:
Shift: 2 nd Shift
Location: In-Field
Schedule: Work schedule to be provided by leader
Salary Range: $23.20 - $43.16 Per Hour
JOB SUMMARY:
Perform required equipment lubrication and maintenance operations at customer job sites. Inspect equipment in a professional manner. Provide competent training to lubrication technicians in order to meet Empire Lube Service quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Research, analyze and correct product problems.
- Make decisions on the actions to take to solve product problems.
- Resolve technical and repetitive problems.
- Assist in developing and maintaining training program for Lubrication Technicians.
- Performs essential job functions of a Lubrication Technician.
- Assist in maintaining relationships with company employees, Caterpillar contacts and client personnel.
- Deliver specialized training curriculum specific for the training and development of Lubrication Technicians.
- Evaluate Lubrication Technician Trainees on their progress throughout the training period and submit records to ETI as needed in order to track knowledge learned and skills gained.
- Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist others in using CAT failure analysis training.
- Create and maintain a positive working relationship with Empire personnel consistent with Empire Values and the corporate mission statement.
- Assist in controlling training cost and expenses.
- Assist in training, directing and mentoring Lubrication Technicians and clients (as needed).
- Maintain technical files and technical information bulletins as it relates to lube services.
- Provide feedback internally to drive change sufficient to meet market demands.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including events and project specific work.
- Provide valuable customer service solutions.
- Work within and promote corporate values.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be a motivated self‑starter.
- Must have sufficient mechanical knowledge to understand scope of project.
- Ability to maintain knowledge of new technology.
- Must have planning and organizational skills sufficient to train and evaluate lube technicians.
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees as well as external clients.
- Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum 5 years’ serviceperson experience.
- Must comprehend computer‑based programs (SIS, SIMS etc.).
- Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
