Operating within a global Center of Excellence (COE) model, our HR team combines deep functional expertise with strong business partnership. Our HR Business Partners work closely with leaders across the organization, collaborating with HR peers and COEs to deliver integrated people strategies that are aligned to business goals, regional needs, and enterprise priorities.
We’re seeking a strategic and hands‑on HR Business Partner who brings strong consultative skills and sound business judgment. In this role, you’ll advise leaders on organization and people strategies, use data and insights to inform decisions, and help drive initiatives across organizational design, change leadership, workforce planning, engagement, performance management, and talent development—all within a complex, globally distributed environment.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain strong business relationships with business unit leadership; viewed as trusted business advisor
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the business, business strategy and business unit goals
- Partner with business unit leadership in the development and implementation of Human Resources strategies and initiatives in support of and aligned to business strategy
- Provide strategic consulting, planning, and implementation support on an array of topics including but not limited to, organizational design and effectiveness, change management, cultural management, recognition and reward, workforce planning, diversity, equity & inclusion, performance management, retention, engagement and key talent development
- Partner effectively with peers, associates and Human Resources Centers of Excellence to create and implement solutions to achieve business goals and strategic objectives
- Monitor and analyze data and trends to identify potential opportunities, needs, issues, problems, etc. that could impact business results
- Operationalize human resources initiatives, quantify results and monitor and measure effectiveness
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations
- Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR operating plan and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives and projects
Where You’ll Work
This role is hybrid, based out of our headquarters in Minneapolis. We #SucceedTogether through in‑person collaboration balanced with remote work to provide a flexible work environment.
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years generalist and/or HR Business Partner experience
- Ability to consult with and influence senior management on talent issues and decisions
- Demonstrated experience managing medium to large projects
- Experience and knowledge of talent management processes such as performance management, talent reviews, succession, career development, employee engagement
- Experience using business acumen to drive organizational effectiveness and use other resources for expertise as needed
- Experience with HR systems, data and analytics to provide insight on talent issues
- Familiarity with applicable employment laws and compliance
- Master’s degree in HRD or MBA preferred
- SPHR or SHRM‑SCP Certification preferred
What We Offer
At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee’s compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. The salary range for this role is $112,800 – $174,800. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.
