Cashier – Jetro Restaurant Depot:

This role requires accurate transaction handling with customers at a wholesale cash‑and‑carry foodservice distributor. The position offers a pay range of $6.00 per hour. As a front‑end cashier, you will manage all payments, issue receipts, and maintain a clean checkout area while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
• Scan goods and ensure pricing & product accuracy
• Collect payments in cash, check, or credit
• Issue receipts and provide change as necessary
• Resolve customer complaints and provide relevant information
• Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area

Requirements

• Work experience as a retail cashier or similar sales role
• Basic computer skills
• Familiarity with electronic equipment (cash register, POS)
• Strong math skills
• Strong communication and time‑management skills
• Customer satisfaction‑oriented attitude

Physical Demands

• Walking/standing on concrete up to 10 hours/day
• Frequent turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and/or bending
• Frequently pushing/pulling objects 500 to 1,500 lbs.
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects over 60 lbs.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to cold/freezing temperatures
• Equipment in motion (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters)
• Potential to work in other departments as required
