Job Description

AutoZone’s store teams are the frontline of WOW! customer service, ensuring that customers find the right parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Store employees maintain well‑stocked inventory, assist customers with product selection, and provide expert advice to enhance the shopping experience. They play a vital role in driving sales, maintaining store operations, and fostering a positive, knowledgeable retail environment.

As a Delivery Driver, you’ll put your safe driving skills to work and enjoy career stability with endless growth opportunities. AutoZone offers career stability and growth opportunities in an essential industry. No Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required, and you’ll use company‑provided vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service Excellence & Communication – Deliver WOW! Customer Service by engaging with commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear and professional automotive advice and offering installation services.
  • Leadership & Teamwork – Work closely with store personnel and commercial accounts, ensuring smooth team collaboration and strong customer relationships.
  • Metrics Mindedness & Process Orientation – Maintain efficient delivery operations, meeting time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
  • Delivery Operations – Drive company‑provided vehicles, ensuring safe and timely deliveries of automotive parts to commercial customers. Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
  • Returns & Pickups – Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or external vendors.
  • Safety Compliance – Adhere to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines and fleet safety policies to maintain a safe driving and working environment.
  • Cash & Charge Transactions – Process customer payments securely and in accordance with company policies.
  • Product Knowledge & Fleet Maintenance – Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems. Maintain delivery vehicles and report any issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
  • Valid Driver’s License & Safety Compliance: Must possess a valid driver’s license and adhere to AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
  • Automotive Knowledge: Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.

Additional Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
  • Automotive Retail Experience: Previous experience in automotive retail.
  • Hazmat Endorsement Preferred: A valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement is a plus.
