The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the entire housekeeping area, including public areas and night cleaning. This role requires a solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies, processes, and the ability to ensure all safety and security policies are followed. Experience with turndown service, special needs of VIP guests, foreign dignitaries, and similar duties is helpful. Responsibilities include staff training, development, and scheduling, and promoting an atmosphere that ensures customer and associate satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper.

The salary range for this position is $56,800 to $79,400. Compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience and education.

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people from diverse cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • 2-3 years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience.
  • Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills.
  • Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset.
  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service and improve the bottom line.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
