The GMD Weapon System processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
Job Description
We are hiring multi-level Engineers in Huntsville, Alabama. Some of these exciting Ground Missile Defense Engineer Roles include:
- Systems Engineer
- Software Engineer
- Software Developer
- Cyber Systems Engineer
An ACTIVE U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance is required for all roles.

Desired Skills
- Master’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
- C, C++, Java, Python, Ada, GoLang, Cython, Bash, Javascript, SQL, Mongo DB
- Recent GMD GS/GWS model development
- Working in an Agile environment
- Developing code in a Dev Ops environment using Bitbucket or GitHub
- Windows/Unix OS environment experience
- Developing software in Object Oriented programing language
- Software development for embedded systems
- Writing/reviewing code in Ada, C++, Java & Python
- Review & verification of system level software requirements
- Reliability & Maintainability Engineering experience
- Security+ Certification or higher
- Cloud technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud
- Kubernetes
- Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Software test execution
- Microsoft Office Tools
- Reading & understanding of technical data
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
- Able to work independently or as a member of a team
- Good interpersonal skills
