Job Description
The Waste Compliance Specialist will support our growing Environmental Health & Safety work, conducting field investigations, data analysis and compliance‑driven project work to address contamination issues and protect communities.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze environmental data using established tools and guidelines.
- Develop personal capabilities through training, coaching, and maintaining relevant professional accreditation.
- Apply HSE policies and procedures to identify and mitigate environmental risks.
- Manage client relationships, coordinating work with senior colleagues and key customers.
- Collect and test samples in accordance with statutory and best‑practice frameworks.
- Execute project management tasks within agreed plans to deliver project goals.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and environmental risk management activities.
- Interpret data to provide solutions analysis, generate insights, and prepare analytical reports.
- Prepare bid documents, RFPs and tender submissions as required.
- Participate actively in communities of practice to build expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of education.
- Experience of 3‑6 years in related environmental or compliance roles.
- Managerial experience supervising junior colleagues for 7‑12 months.
Salary & Benefits
Salary range: $60,500 – $100,875 (based on experience & location)
- 401(k) retirement plan with company match after 3 months.
- Paid time off: 16 days per year, increasing with tenure.
- Holiday pay for 9 company holidays, scheduled annually.
