HR Talent Alliance is hiring: Accounting Manager - Fund Accounting in New York

Our client, a growing financial services leader in New York City, is expanding and needs to hire an Accounting Manager / Senior Manager with solid Fund Accounting experience. This role will support corporate accounting, month‑end close processes, and operational improvements to help scale the business in a regulated environment.

Base pay range

$140,000.00/yr – $165,000.00/yr

What You’ll Do

• Manage daily accounting operations, including month‑end close, account reconciliations, and revenue recognition
• Oversee corporate accounting activities with a focus on efficiency and automation
• Support consolidation and SEC reporting requirements
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve accounting issues and improve workflows
• Partner with external auditors and tax professionals on quarterly/annual filings
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
• Work with trading operations on daily activities and reconciliations
• Assist with capital calculations and related reporting
• Participate in special projects as assigned by management

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required
• 6–8+ years of accounting experience in a regulated firm, broker‑dealer, or bank
• CPA preferred or Series 27 a plus
• Proficiency with enterprise accounting systems
• Knowledge of accounting standards, controls, and financial reporting
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and lead new projects and accounting initiatives
