Job Description

Talent Groups is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support a large publicly traded organization’s IT and Cloud Services accounting function. This is a junior level accounting role ideal for candidates with a few years of hands‑on accounting experience who are comfortable working with transactional accounting and financial data beyond basic data entry.

The team supports internal IT business units and manages accounting related to technology spend, including software, cloud services, and hardware. This is not a senior level role and does not require a bachelor’s degree.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounting transactions and prepare journal entries
• Assist with general ledger and cost accounting activities
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Review and verify transactions for accuracy and compliance
• Assist with month‑end close activities and reporting
• Work extensively in Excel to organize data and prepare entries
• Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls in compliance with SOX requirements
• Support accounting related to IT and cloud spend, including software licenses, hardware purchases, and telecom expenses

Required Qualifications

• A few years of hands‑on accounting experience at the junior or staff level
• Strong Excel skills, including basic formulas, filtering, and data organization
• Experience assisting with journal entries and transaction processing
• Ability to follow documented processes and work independently
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced operational accounting environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle ERP
• Background supporting general ledger or cost accounting functions
• Experience working with technology or IT related expenses
