This role is a Litigation Secretary that provides comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys handling complex litigation matters. It requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Base Pay Range
$85,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and correspondence in compliance with state and federal court rules.
- Coordinate electronic filing and document service with courts and opposing counsel.
- Maintain and organize case files, both electronic and physical, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with trial preparation by assembling exhibits, creating trial binders, and preparing tables of contents and authorities.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule court appearances, depositions, mediations, and track critical deadlines.
- Provide administrative support including drafting correspondence, processing billing and expense reports, and arranging travel.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and vendors.
Qualifications
- 3-7 years of litigation support experience, preferably within California civil or federal court practices.
- Strong knowledge of California and federal court rules and filing procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal document management systems.
- Excellent organizational, time‑management, and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently or collaboratively under pressure.
