American Military History Part Time Instructor 25-26 Academic Year

University of Tampa Military Science and Leadership Department invites applications for a part‑time instructor to teach American Military History.

Responsibilities

• Teach one 4‑hour course per semester in American Military History from Colonial times to present.
• Utilize departmental syllabus and course assignments, including meeting times, specific readings and writing assignments within departmental guidelines and program mission.
• Manage online‑paperwork grading system.

Qualifications

• PhD in History (preferred); Master’s Degree or military education equivalent in a history‑related discipline required.
• Previous military service is preferred.
• Understanding of key technological and tactical/doctrinal advances in American military history and ability to articulate how those lessons apply to future military leaders.
• College teaching experience in related field is preferred.

Additional Information
