Overview
Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health is seeking a full-time Pediatric Rheumatologist to join the dynamic and growing Division at IU School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and innovative team in the state's only board-certified group and one of the largest in the country. Our faculty is a balanced mixture of all academic levels and years of experience invested in delivering the best patient care in a collegial environment, with access to the newest and most promising medicines and treatment protocols in the field.
Position Highlights
- Join eight faculty physicians, two fellows, five dedicated pediatric rheumatology nurses, five clinical research specialists, and dedicated support staff.
- Enjoy a strong work/life balance with a standard schedule and equitable shared call coverage.
- Deliver excellent care through inpatient consultative services at Riley Children’s Hospital, outpatient consultation, and ongoing care of children with rheumatologic diseases in local and outreach clinics. Multidisciplinary clinics include TMJ-JIA, Ophthalmology-Rheumatology Uveitis and Immune Dysregulation.
- Embrace academic duties with learners of all levels including IUSM students, residents, fellows and junior faculty; support the growth of the division through active recruitment and an innovative approach to generate interest in pediatric rheumatology as a subspecialty.
- Riley Children’s is a site for clinical research and is active in national groups; involvement in the Arthritis Foundation, Cure JM, and clinical studies sponsored by CARRA and PRCSG.
- Faculty appointment at assistant, associate, or professor rank on a non-tenure track.

- ABMS Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship
- BC Pediatrics, BC/BE Pediatric Rheumatology
- Physician MD/DO/MD-PhD, licensed in Indiana or eligible with a clean license
