The Dishwasher / Utility Worker plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our dining operations. This position assists with food preparation, ensures proper sanitation and maintenance of kitchen equipment, and supports the dietary team in delivering high-quality meals to residents and guests.

• ✅ Follow diet orders and NPO diet guidelines.
• ✅ Assist cooks in preparing meals, desserts, and snacks (e.g., salads, desserts, sandwiches).
• ✅ Use proper food handling processes and safety procedures.
• ✅ Deliver trays to residents and serve meals in the dining area.
• ✅ Prepare between-meal nourishments and offer menu substitutions per guidelines.
• ✅ Follow procedures for serving partner meals.
• ✅ Maintain cleaning, sanitizing, and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• ✅ Communicate warmly and professionally with residents, families, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous food service or food preparation experience preferred.
• Experience in long-term care dietary services is a plus.
