Production Scheduler Job at Georgia Pacific in Bowling Green

Georgia-Pacific’s Dixie® Consumer Products is seeking a qualified professional for the Production Scheduler role at the Bowling Green, Kentucky operation. This role serves as the key link between sales, product line, supply chain, and manufacturing.

As a Production Scheduler, you’ll manage optimized production schedules, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and drive efficiency in a high SKU manufacturing environment with multiple lines.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute optimized finite machine production schedules in support of business demand and plant performance goals.
• Serve as a liaison between the business, master scheduling, and operation teams to achieve customer service level expectations.
• Take ownership of daily and weekly production plans, identifying potential obstacles to completing plans efficiently while meeting production targets. Meet with the manufacturing team to assess schedules and adjust as needed.
• Optimize run quantities and minimize changeovers.
• Assure production plans are communicated timely and monitored.
• Daily assess material shortages that need expediting and follow up with Deployment / Planning personnel to ensure commitments are achieved.
• Maintain system parameters, data, and settings to ensure accurate data across systems.
• Identify slow moving inventories and develop plans for disposition and waste reduction.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in material planning or inventory control management.
• One (1) or more years of experience working within a manufacturing operation.
• Experience working with an inventory control system.
• High school diploma.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Business.
• Experience as a production scheduler/planner within a manufacturing operation.
• Experience with SAP/WMS (Warehouse Management System) software.
• Experience in a high SKU environment with multiple manufacturing facilities and warehouse locations.
