Job Description

As the Customer Service Specialist, you will serve as the main point of contact for order‑related activities while ensuring customer loyalty through effective management of the order process. This role works closely with the Customer Supervisor to improve the customer experience, drive sales growth, and represent the ICL brand professionally. It is integral to the ICL Growing Solutions North America team and works with internal and external stakeholders.
Location: This position is remote from home, but we are seeking candidates located near North Charleston, SC for occasional on‑site training and meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with internal customers such as Territory and Regional Managers, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams.
  • Act as the main contact for distributors and enter all orders for that distributor.
  • Answer and respond to all emails regarding order status, product availability, and routing questions when needed.
  • Problem‑solve by assembling truckloads of material and piecing orders together to ensure timely delivery.
  • Learn the product catalogue and shipping origins for each product.
  • Run daily reports to track delays and monitor order shortages.
  • Participate in weekly sales calls and provide corrective solutions for the whole team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing customer accounts with order entry.
  • Import/export experience and knowledge of logistics/supply chain is beneficial but not required.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and QAD is helpful but not required.
  • Strong problem‑solving, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Organized and dedicated to satisfying customers.

Compensation at ICL

Your final base salary will be determined based on geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to the base salary, an annual bonus target of 5% is available subject to plan provisions.
