Job Description: Manufacturing Planner Asc

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products within Lockheed Martin’s manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Make, Buy Planning: Performing the Make, Buy planning activities associated with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) transactions. This involves making decisions on whether to manufacture components in-house or purchase them from external suppliers.
2. Manufacturing Activities: Performing one or more multiple manufacturing activities within various manufacturing functions. This could include scheduling, routing, and overseeing production processes.
3. Inventory Optimization: Maintaining production systems integrity to drive inventory optimization and minimize costs. This includes ensuring efficient use of materials and minimizing waste.
4. Material Flow Optimization: Expediting and optimizing material flow to meet customer requirements. This involves ensuring that materials are delivered on time and in the right quantities to meet production schedules.
5. MRP Parameter Maintenance: Assisting in maintaining MRP parameters, including lot sizes.
6. Collaboration: Routine collaboration with departments such as Procurement, Production Operations, Contracts, and Accounting.
