We have an immediate need for two (2) locum Internal Medicine MDs to provide internal medicine care for our population at the Sacramento County Jail or the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center.
Core Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Perform general evaluations for individuals in a clinic setting, with a typical caseload of 12-15 patients per day.
Ensure that patient care meets correctional health care and community care standards.
Ensure clinic staff adherence to local, state, and federal laws. Provide consultation and direction to clinical staff.
Monitor adherence to ACH policies and May's Consent Decree Requirements.
Proactively identify, treat, and manage inmates with serious medical conditions.
Establish and maintain practice standards for all providers, including policies, procedures, and protocols.
Establish and maintain greater access to on-site and off-site specialty services and providers.
Must have completed a residency in Internal Medicine and be Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board in Internal Medicine.
Credentialling and onboarding takes approximately 3-4 weeks.
Hours & Schedule:
Multiple shifts available!
Full and Part Time available!
Contract is for 3 years 6 month minimum commitment required.

One active, unrestricted CA state Medical License
Current DEA
BLS- American Heart Association (AHA) required
