The position forecasts a commitment of approximately one year, with intermittent weekend shifts to accommodate the unit s needs.
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with at least two years of experience in family medicine. The ideal candidate will demonstrate independence in practice, meet all Massachusetts licensing requirements, and be comfortable managing a diverse patient population aged 10 and above. This is a vital opportunity to contribute to a specialized mental health setting, ensuring holistic and comprehensive patient care.
Required Skills:
  • Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC)
  • Minimum of 2 years of family medicine experience
  • Ability to practice independently in Massachusetts
  • Experience in inpatient psychiatric settings preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work intermittently on weekends and adapt to flexible scheduling

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience working with adolescents and elderly patients
  • Additional certifications such as ACLS or BLS
  • Familiarity with mental health and psychiatric protocols
  • Bilingual abilities or additional language skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master s degree in Nursing ( MSN or higher) from an accredited program
  • Current Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification
  • Proven experience working in inpatient psychiatric or mental health settings

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work intermittent weekends; scheduling flexibility required
  • Must maintain current board certification and licensure
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism
