Overview of the Opportunity
Texas Oncology Surgical Specialists, a division of Texas Oncology has an opening for a BC/BE Thoracic Surgeon to join two current Thoracic Surgeons in a rapidly growing patient population area in San Antonio, Texas. Texas Oncology is the largest privately held oncology practice in the United States. We are a physician owned, multispecialty oncology practice that provides world class treatment options to patients in the second largest city in Texas. We are a group of 41 physicians including 2 Thoracic Surgeons, 4 Gynecologic Oncologists, 4 Radiation Oncologists, 2 Breast Surgeons, 2 Surgical Oncologists, 3 Colorectal Surgeons, 10 Otolaryngology Oncology and 23 medical oncology sub‑specialists dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood disorders. We provide thoracic surgery services to a large referring service area of more than 11 locations/clinics. Our Thoracic Surgery practice incorporates all aspects of general thoracic surgery with a large focus on oncology but also including benign diseases of the lungs, esophagus, trachea, mediastinum, chest wall and diaphragm. This physician should be well versed in minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery. Experience in endoscopic and navigational procedures is a plus. Texas Oncology, in collaboration with the world‑renowned Sarah Cannon Research Institute offers a broad range of clinical trials to patients in the community setting. This practice also offers the opportunity for a physician to mentor medical students and residents in local training programs. Responsibilities

Board Certified (BC/BE) Thoracic Surgeon. Well versed in minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery. Experience in endoscopic and navigational procedures is a plus. Experience in mentoring medical students and residents. Ability to participate in clinical trials offered by the Sarah Cannon Research Institute. Benefits
