Main Responsibilities We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to support the development of our annual Global Sustainability Report. You will work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team of sustainability experts, writers, and designers. Your primary duties will include supporting the development and review process of the Global Sustainability Report, tracking and proofreading edits, and proactively collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality deliverables on time.

Tasks/Deliverables 1. Support development of Abbott’s Global Sustainability Report (GSR)

Capture, track, and review all edits and comments received on all drafts of the Global Sustainability Report

Communicate all edits to Abbott’s in-house creative agency team and ensure edits are fully integrated into subsequent drafts

Manage first line of copy editing – review and revise content/edits for compliance with our style guide, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax

Support development of the report appendix, including United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and Sustainable Accounting Standards Board (SASB) indexes

2. Support continuous improvement initiatives

Identify and drive adoption of continuous improvement initiatives in the development process, including streamlining processes with AI tools and developing templates, trackers, and other project management tools

Maintain document control and tracking

3. Project manage Sustainability website updates

Create and manage website update requests

Project manage Abbott Sustainability webpage refresh and updates.

Skills To excel in this role, you will need experience in data tracking and project management, as well as strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities. Anyone with Agency experience.

Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft tools, including PowerPoint and Excel.

Experience working in an MS Teams environment, including SharePoint.

Experience in copy editing, writing, and proofreading technical or sustainability-related content.

Familiarity with AI tools.

Ability to work with internal stakeholders at all levels and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.

Strong organizational, project management, and written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail and adherence to timelines.

Effective data management skills: ability to manage report edits and comments from 50+ contributors.

Nice to have

Prior communications or editorial background

Experience in the Health, Wellness, or Medically Regulated industry

Familiarity with Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, UNSDGs, and experience with ESG reporting language and requirements.

Education

Associate’s (5-year experience) or bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Communications, Business, Operations, or Public Affairs.
