You are a licensed and experienced Director of Nursing who thrives in a leadership role. What Is Your Role?
The Director of Nursing (DON) provides leadership in developing and implementing standards, goals, and objectives for resident care. This role oversees all aspects of the health services program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines while consistently promoting exceptional quality of care.
In This Role, You Are Responsible For:
Leading all infection control and prevention efforts, including compliance, monitoring, reporting, and training
Driving and overseeing all Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations for both Long-Term Care (LTC) and Assisted Living/Residential Care Facilities (RCF)
Serving as the clinical lead during surveys and inspections, applying extensive regulatory knowledge to ensure readiness and successful outcomes
Ensuring residents' medical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual needs are met, and that they are always at the appropriate level of care
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families to deliver person-centered care
Monitoring clinical outcomes and initiating interventions for quality improvement
Supporting the professional development of nursing staff through training, mentorship, and performance management
Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with organizational policies and compliance standards
We Are Seeking:
A current RN license in the state of Ohio; BSN preferred
Diploma from an accredited nursing school
Current CPR certification
Previous nursing leadership experience in a continuing care retirement community, hospital, or similar environment
Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members
Individuals who bring kindness, positivity, and a team-first mindset to their work
Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
